Safety Precaution  
Avoid placing the monitor, or any other heavy object, on the power cord to prevent it from fire or  
electrical shock.  
Do not expose the monitor to rain, excessive moisture, or dust to avoid fire or shock hazard.  
Do not cover the slots or openings of the monitor for proper heat dissipation.  
Always put the monitor in a place where there is adequate ventilation.  
Avoid placing the monitor against a bright background or where sunlight or other light sources  
may reflect on the face of the monitor. Place the monitor just below eye level.  
Handle with care when transporting the monitor.  
Refrain from giving shock or scratch to the screen, as screen is fragile.  
For displays with glossy bezels the user should consider the placement of the display as the bezel  
may cause disturbing reflections from surrounding light and bright surfaces.  
Cleaning Your Monitor  
Please carefully follow the guidelines below when cleaning the monitor.  
Always unplug the monitor before cleaning.  
Use a soft cloth to wipe the screen and cabinet front and sides.  
About Power Cable  
Check first to make sure that the power cord you use is the correct type required for your area.  
This monitor has a universal power supply that allows operation in either 100/120V AC or 220/240 V  
AC voltage area. No user-adjustment is required.  
Plug one end of the power cord to the AC Inlet, plug another end to a proper AC outlet.  
For unit using at 120 V AC: Use a UL Listed Cord Set, Type SVT wire and plug rated 10 A/125 V.  
For unit using at 220/240 V AC (outside of U.S.): Use a Cord Set consisting of H05VV-F cord and plug  
rated 10 A, 250 V. The cord set should have the appropriate safety approvals for the country In which  
the equipment will be installed.

Installation  
Introduction  
Congratulations on your purchase of PL1910W, a high performance 18.5 inch wide color TFT LCD monitor.

Unpacking  
Please check that the following items are present when you unpack the box.

Attaching the Base:  
1. Lay the TFT LCD monitor on a flat surface with the LCD screen face down.  
To prevent the monitor from being scratched, put a soft cloth on the table.  
2. Unpack the stand and attach to monitor as shown.  
3. Unpack the base and attach to stand as shown.

Removing the Base  
1. Lay the TFT LCD monitor on a flat surface with the LCD screen face down.  
To prevent the monitor from being scratched, put a soft cloth on the table.  
2. Press the release button on the base while pulling away from the stand.  
3. Press the release button on the stand while pulling away from the monitor.

Preparing The Monitor For Wall-Mounting  
1. Check the stability of the wall-mounting fixture.  
2. The rear of this LCD display has 4 integrated 4 mm, 0.7 pitches threaded nuts.  
Use the four holes (A), (B), (C), and (D) to attach the swing arm or other mounting fixture to the back of  
the monitor with screws (not supplied).  
Note: The distance of wall-mount is 100mm x 100mm.  
Please use M 4mm x 10mm (L) Screw for this application.  
3. Follow the instructions included with the mounting fixture to ensure that the monitor is safely attached.  
The four threaded holes that are on the back of the panel are compliant with the VESA standard for  
mounting flat-panel monitors.  
4. Attach a swing arm or other mounting fixture.

Screen Position Adjustment  
In order to optimize the best viewing position, you can adjust the tilt of the monitor as shown in the  
figure below.

Connecting Cables  
To install the monitor to your host system, please follow the steps as given below:

Steps  
1.  
Connect one of the cables: VGA or DVI.  
1-1.Connect VGA Cable  
a. Make sure both the monitor and computer are turned off.  
b. Connect the VGA video cable to the computer.  
1-2.Connect DVI Cable  
a. Make sure both the monitor and computer are turned off.  
b. Connect the DVI cable to the computer.  
2. Connect power cord  
Connect the power cord to the monitor, then to a properly grounded AC outlet.  
3. Turn on the monitor and computer  
Turn on the monitor first, then turn on the computer.  
This sequence is very important.  
If the monitor still does not function properly, please refer to the troubleshooting section to  
diagnose the problem.

OSD Lock Function  
OSD lock – all 4 buttons are locked except thePOWER” button.  
When monitor is in normal condition, press the “Menuand“ buttons to lock the OSD function.  
Then press theMenu” and button to unlock the OSD function.  
The monitor will show the “OSD Lock” or “OSD Unlock” message for 3 seconds and it will  
disappear automatically.  
All Lock Function  
OSD & Power button lock – all 5 buttons including the “POWER” button are locked.  
When monitor is in normal condition, holdAuto/Exitand button to lock all the keysfunction.  
Repeat this step to unlock.  
The monitor will show the “All Lock” or “All Unlock” message for 3 seconds and it will disappear  
automatically.

Troubleshooting  
Before sending your LCD monitor for servicing, please check the troubleshooting list below to  
see if you can self-diagnose the problem.
